● Free time in Les Baux de Provence, medieval fortress located on a rocky spur in the Alpilles region.
● Continue to the Pont du Gard : visit the best preserved aqueduct of the Roman period. (The museum is not included).
● In Avignon, free time for lunch (on your own). Visit the Popes’ Palace and the Saint-Benezet Bridge the famous « Pont d'Avignon » (tickets not included).
● Scenic drive through the vineyard of Chateauneuf du Pape followed by wine-tasting in a winery.

A day in Provence from Marseille
Spend a day in Provence you will never forget!
Join your guide in Marseille at 8am and set off to explore the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Provence with your A la Francaise guide!
The tour of Provence starts in the Alpilles mountain range. Located on a rocky spur overlooking the valley, the medieval village of Les Baux de Provence will lead you to an unforgettable journey into the past.
Next on your tour is a drive to the stunning Pont du Gard, the best preserved remains of the Roman aqueduct which supplied water to the city of Nîmes. A real masterpiece! (Museum entrance not included).
Continue you on through Provence towards the famous city of Avignon. As you approach you will drive along the docks between the Rhône River and the medieval walls to enter the majestic city of the Popes.
Take a look at Saint-Benezet Bridge, famous for the children's song “Sur le Pont d'Avignon”, and see the Popes' Palace which is the largest gothic-style palace in Europe (entrance tickets not included).
After visiting Avignon it's on to see another must-see site in Provence, its vineyards! Your guide will take you through the Rhône River valley to the famous winemaking village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape whose castle dominates the surrounding vineyards. Share a great wine-tasting (included) with your small group.
After a day exploring the highlights of Provence it is time to return to Marseille. Your guide will bid you farewell at 7.30pm back in Marseille.
